At the Todd Selkirk State Farm Agent office in Roanoke, Virginia, building strong connections and helping people navigate their insurance needs is my passion. When I opened my State Farm office in 2000, I wanted to create a place where people felt heard, supported, and confident in their decisions. My team and I are dedicated to making insurance simple and accessible for our Good Neighbors. With a focus on personalized service, we’re proud to serve Vinton, Bedford, and Botetourt counties, along with the entire state of Virginia.

Understanding insurance can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make the process easier. Whether you need Auto, Home, or Life Insurance, we’ll walk you through your options and help you make informed decisions. We also offer Renters and Condo Insurance, helping you protect your living space and belongings. If you’re a business owner, we provide Business Insurance to help safeguard your hard work. For those who love the open road, our Motorcycle Insurance offers protection for your adventures. Whatever stage of life you’re in, we’ll help you choose the coverage that aligns with your goals.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing, and coaching sports. Community involvement is important to me, and I’ve been proud to support local organizations in various leadership roles. I served as president of the Lord Botetourt Cavalier Athletic Club, worked on the board of DePaul Community Resources, helping children in foster care, and served as a representative for Fire and Rescue on the Roanoke County Capital Improvement Program. I’m also active in my local church, where I enjoy serving in leadership roles. My wife is an educator, and our son is a college student, and we cherish the time we spend together as a family.

Our mission is to be the first choice for insurance and financial services in Botetourt, Roanoke and Vinton. I'm a fourth generation Botetourt County resident. This is where I choose to live, work, raise my family and go to church. My wife, Laura, teaches in the Botetourt County school system. My son, Tanner, is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.

Whether you need, auto, fire/home, life or disability insurance, we will help design a plan that is right for you. We put our customer's needs first. Nobody, from my office, will ever pressure you into buying something. It's not how we want to be treated and we don't believe it's what you want, either. We really do enjoy getting to know our customers. The more we listen, the easier it is to figure out what's important to you. That gives us a great start in knowing what you might want protected.

Misty is from Alabama (we don't hold that against her). She can help you with anything regarding your auto, home or life insurance. She spent most of her life in the retail industry before coming to work here. She's always happy and brings that great southern charm.

Wanda grew up in Botetourt. She recently retired and chose to come to work here to stay connected to the people of Botetourt. She knows you, your kids and probably a little bit about your pets!

Carole is our newest team member. She can help you with your auto and fire needs. She comes here with over 40 years insurance experience. She retired from one of our competitors and adds great value to our office.

Colorado Katie works part time from, you guessed it, Colorado. She worked here full time before moving to Colorado. She was a wonderful team member and agreed to stay on part time to assist us with certain service activities.
